Lane Intelligence: Turn Repeat Freight into Dedicated Contracts

FreightConnect watches your completed loads for recurring lanes and tells you when a lane is worth converting to a dedicated contract — then generates the offer for you, with volume-discounted platform rates.

How Lane Detection Works

Every completed load (delivered, invoiced, or paid) feeds the analyzer. When the same origin + destination + equipment combination shows up 3 or more times, it becomes a lane pattern worth scoring.

The Prediction Score

Each detected lane gets a 0–100 dedicated-conversion score:

| Component | Weight | What it measures | |-----------|--------|------------------| | Recurrence | 40 pts | How often the lane repeats — 3+ loads is the dedicated threshold | | Rate stability | 25 pts | Low rate variance means there's a contractable price | | Volume trend | 20 pts | Is recent volume growing vs. the older history? | | Shipper reliability | 15 pts | Approved credit across the lane's shippers |

High-scoring lanes surface on the Lanes page with full detail: load history, rate range, and the score breakdown.

Dedicated Lane Offers

For strong lanes, FreightConnect generates a dedicated-lane offer: a projected annual value and a tiered royalty rate that beats the standard 15% platform split — down to 6% on $5M+ lanes (see Commission Engine for the tier table).

You accept or decline offers from the Lanes → Offers view. Accepting freezes the offered rates for that lane — future loads on it automatically use the dedicated split.

The Learning Loop

Offer outcomes feed back into the model: each accepted offer nudges confidence up, each rejection nudges it down. The system gets better at knowing which of your lanes are actually contract-ready.

On-Demand Analysis

Lane analysis runs continuously, but you can trigger a fresh scan any time with Analyze Lanes — useful right after a burst of new loads on a lane you're watching.
